Polar Capital Technology Trust

Polar Capital Technology Trust is an investment trust. Each year, the fund manager, as part of the annual report, writes an engaging and thought provoking piece drawing parallels between today’s technological development and those in the past, explaining his investment strategy.

The design draws out examples from the fund manager’s piece, with big images and pullout text. In the designs above, the historical parallel was the electricity industry dating from Victorian times, discussing networking and portability in comparison to mobile networks.

Reflecting my approach to corporate communications, I used callouts and break out text to engage the audience. The later financial pages, for instance showing the breakdown of investments in the trust, are designed to be clear and easy to read, emphasising transparency.
